Jeff DePree
Managing Director
Jeff DePree brings over 18 years of international
business development and entrepreneurial experience
to Halcyon Development. he posses a solid well
developed set of skills in the areas of sales,
marketing, market channel development, operational
development, and strategic planning.
With an extensive background dealing with automation
and technology related issues in the international
automotive, aerospace, electronics, consumer
products, medical device, and pharmaceutical
markets, Jeff has the ability to quickly understand
the key issues and challenges that are currently
facing small to mid sized companies in today's
rapidly changing, global manufacturing environment.
Jeff began his
professional career at Applied Robotics, Inc. an
international automation and robotics solutions
company, holding a variety of key executive
positions including Vice President of Sales and Vice
President of Business Development. As Vice President
of Business Development he was responsible for
planning, developing, and validating business models
for strategic business partnerships, joint ventures
and acquisitions throughout the Americas, Europe and
Asia. In addition, he actively sought out and raised
several million in equity investment from two
overseas investors. During his tenure in sales he
was responsible for developing and coordinating
international sales and distribution networks in
Europe, Asia and South America as well as
establishing a wholly own subsidiary company in
Belgium and branch office in Mexico, all of which
help to increase export sales from 8% to 45% of
total company revenues.
After leaving
Applied in 2005, Jeff established Halcyon
Development a "niche" international Business
Development consulting firm that provides strategic
marketing and sales channel development, new product
commercialization planning, strategic planning,
mergers and acquisitions services to international
clients in the industrial sand life sciences
automation markets. Successes to date include
setting up a manufacture representative network in
India for a major machinery supplier to the pulp,
paper and converting industries, establishing
distribution networks the United States and Europe
for several key international automation equipment
companies supplying to the automotive and general
manufacturing industries, and setting up wholesale
and distribution networks in the United States for
an international industrial valve and heating
component manufacturer.
He studied
Chinese Studies and Economics at the State
University of New York in Albany and Chinese Studies
and Language at Nankai University in Tianjin, People
Republic of China.
Having traveled
and worked on over 40 countries, Jeff feels
comfortable in all parts of the globe. When not on a
plane, Jeff spends his time backwoods skiing and
snow shoeing in the winter and fishing from canoe in
the summer in the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate
New York. |
